The Short Answer?
I help women of all stages feel feminine and find self love through the power of boudoir photography.
The long answer is different than most boudoir photographers. I LOVE femininity. I didn’t always though.
There is feminine and masculine energy in everyone, male and female. We actually need both for a proper balance. [More on that later]
Masculine energy is easy for me, it’s the feminine energy I’ve always struggled with. I had spent so much time proving myself worthy to stand along side a man/boy I forgot that it’s okay to be feminine!
I really started to understand femininity during my own pregnancy and after I gave birth. The more I was surrounded by women and things only women could do, the more I was in tune to how different men and women really are.
Someone shared this quote with me, I’m not sure who it is originally by but. it. is. everything.
“Our generation is so busy trying to prove that women can do everything men can do, women are losing the unique qualities that set us apart. The God-given femininity & unique way we are designed. Women weren’t created to do everything a man can do…. Women were created to do everything a man can’t do.”
*mic drop*
That right there, fuels my fire. I’ve said it in my own way over and over during and after my pregnancy.
I am here to help you free your femininity, because being a woman is not a weakness. It’s a gift.
Complaining about our gift is what makes us weak and puts us on a lower peg.
If you don’t love yourself you can’t free anything. I believe a lot of negative behavior comes from not loving yourself and comparing yourself to others.
Everyone’s pregnancy is different, everyone’s fertility is different, everyone’s period is different, everyone’s bodies are different and everyone’s minds are different! We are all unique and the more we focus on our unique qualities the happier we will be.
Embracing and loving your un-photoshopped, un-filtered body during and after your boudoir experience can be hard but it’s only due to comparison. Imagine if we had nothing to compare too, no one would be unhappy! We hate ourselves before we even have the chance to love ourselves.
